Before (below left image): Cattle access to the spring that forms the headwaters of Smith Creek had caused fecal coliform and sediment contamination of the stream.
After (below right image): A new livestock walkway and exclusion fencing will keep cattle out of the stream, while an alternative watering system provides a clean source of water. In the last photo below, Mike Phillips inspects an installed water trough.
