About the Utah GPS Web Site

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a fully functional Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). The system has a constellation of at least 24 medium Earth orbit satellites that transmit precise microwave signals, the system enables a GPS receiver to determine its location, speed, direction, and time.

The purpose of this site is to provide support for Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and applications for Utah Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) personnel. This site provides active links to general information, announcements, publications, presentations, and other resources.
