FY 2009 Utah Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) - State Component
 


State Grant Component - Utah

CIG is a voluntary program intended to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies. The intent of the state component of CIG is to provide flexibility to NRCS State Conservationists to target CIG funds to individual producers and smaller organizations that may provide promising innovations. In 2009, Utah NRCS will allocate approximately $500,000 towards competitive grants for the state component of CIG. The deadline for submitting proposals was May 4, 2009.

Successful applicants for the 2009 Utah Conservation Innovation Grants will be announced July 30, 2009.


Aquaculture Component

NRCS State Conservationist Sylvia Gillen has announced the availability of a new 2009 Conservation Innovation Grant dealing with aquaculture. $200,000 is available through a competitive grant process. The deadline for application was June 17, 2009.  ...Read More
