[A profile of a Tifton soil.]The Tifton series consists of very deep, well drained, moderately and moderately slowly permeable soils that formed in loamy marine sediments. These nearly level to moderately sloping soils are on hillslopes and interfluves. Slopes range from 0 to 8 percent.

Taxonomic class: Fine-loamy, kaolinitic, thermic Plinthic Kandiudults
