Healthy Soils Workshop Scheduled for Hilo

HONOLULU, July 11, 2014 – Interested in learning how to unlock your farm’s potential? The Waiakea and Puna Soil and Water Conservation Districts are partnering with the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to host a soils health workshop in Hilo.
“Soil health management systems can optimize farming inputs, protect against drought, and increase farm production,” said Dr. William E. Puckett, NRCS Acting Director for the Pacific Islands Area.
This event is open to the community and is scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2014 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Aupuni Center Conference Room on 101 Pauahi Street.
