Deep Fork Wildlife Management Area
Deep Fork WRP Wildlife Management Area
The Deep Fork WRP Wildlife Management Area is located in the east central
portion of Oklahoma, near Welty in Creek County. 230 acres are within the WRP
boundary. The Deep Fork WRP offers habitat consisting of Moist-Soil Wetlands,
Emergent marshes, Shrub/Scrub Swamp, Micro topography/Depressions, Deep Open
Water, Riparian Forested Bottomland Hardwoods and is bisected by the Deep Fork
River. With such habitat diversity numerous species can be found at the area.
Go south from Bristow on Highway 48 until you reach the turn off for Welty.
From highway 48 and the Welty exit, go seven miles west on the county road and
then proceed north on the county road for 1.5 miles. The Deep Fork WRP lies on
the east side of the county road.
