The new application process allows for continuous sign-up throughout the year. Periodic ranking periods will be announced by the State Conservationist. All eligible applicants that have submitted eligible parcels will be ranked at that time.

Before Submitting Your Application
To insure your application package is complete and to review your application and proposed parcels, contact the FRPP Program Manager, especially if you are a first-time applicant. Supplemental information may be provided if it will offer a more accurate or complete picture. If you have submitted requested information within the last 3 years, you may refer to the information in your previous application, which USDA has on file, and provide only an update in your current application. Only a single original copy of your application is required.
The entity must be deemed eligible before any proposed easements submitted by that entity will be considered. All required easement data must be included for the application to be considered.
Funds for FRPP will be awarded to the highest ranked eligible applications through a statewide competitive process. All proposed easements applications are ranked individually on their own merit. Funds will be used to reimburse the entities for up to 50 percent of the appraised fair market value of the conservation easement on approved applications.
