Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) in New Jersey
The 2014 Farm Bill was enacted on February 7, 2014. The 2014 Farm Bill streamlines and consolidates the wildlife functions and program opportunities that were offered under the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP). The bill continues to provide technical and financial assistance available to farmers and forest landowners to benefit wildlife habitat through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). Although the WHIP program was repealed in the 2014 Farm Bill, all existing contracts remain in effect and will continue to be honored.
