Forestry

The Natural Resources Conservation Service promotes forestry by providing technical assistance to private landowners to:Winding road through a forest

  • Plant trees and shrubs for erosion control and wildlife habitat improvement.
  • Plant trees as Riparian Forest Buffers to improve water quality.
  • Plant trees for windbreaks to reduce wind erosion and conserve energy.
  • Provide cost share payments for tree planting with the EQIP program.
