This appendix describes the assumptions and rules used for this analysis. It consists of three sections. Section I describes the process and assumptions used to simulate plant nutrient utilization. Section II describes the technique by which quantities of manure, manure recovery, and manure nutrient content were determined. Section III describes the rules with which livestock populations were determined and how the factors described in Sections I and II were used in this analysis.
