Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) Overview

The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary program that provides technical and financial assistance to agricultural producers and forest land owners who want to improve and protect the condition of soil, water, air, plants and animals.

BENEFITS of EQIP Programs

  • Participants may receive financial and technical assistance to implement structural and management conservation practices to address natural resource concerns.
  • Enhanced production and overall ecosystem health on agricultural lands (grasslands and cropland) and forest land.
  • Improved quality of natural resources.
