FY-2004 FRPP Easement Information

The following three maps display information on Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program (FRPP) easements which obligated fiscal year 2004 FRPP funds.

This voluntary program helps farmers and ranchers keep their land in agriculture. The program provides matching funds to State, Tribal, or local governments and non-governmental organizations with existing farmland protection programs to purchase conservation easements. All FRPP easements are permanent easements. In FY-2004, NRCS allocated more than $88 million to include more than 565 easements in the program, protecting nearly 115,000 acres.
