Plants for Wildlife Habitat Protection and Restoration

Habitat consists of food, water, shelter, and space to meet the needs of wildlife. The Plant Materials Program develops trees, shrubs, and other plants that provide shelter and food for wildlife. Plant guides assist the owner of a backyard or a large tract of land in establishing plants that provide habitat for all types of wildlife and pollinators.
