Emergency Watershed Protection Program (EWP). In the wake of the 2005 hurricanes, NRCS and USACE worked closely to address regulatory issues associated with channel restoration of scenic streams.
National Response Team
NRCS and USACE personnel also work together on the National Response Plan. Along with FEMA, the Coast Guard, EPA, and NOAA, our two agencies are collaborating in the area of Waterway Debris and Salvage Response. They are serving on a PDT to delineate and clarify debris removal roles, responsibilities and authorities. NRCS participated in a USACE/FEMA Remedial Action Program Workshop in December 2007 in New Orleans.
