Executive Correspondence Management Team

Welcome to the Executive Correspondence Management Team (ECMT) Web page. We're here to connect you with the people who can provide you with the information you need when responding to correspondence.

Setting a New Cultural Paradigm Managing Correspondence

EMCT Staff photo 2012On May 15, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln signed legislation establishing the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). More than 2 years later, in his final message to Congress, Lincoln called USDA the "People's Department," praising the Department for rapidly moving in "the great and vital interest it was created to advance." In that spirit, we are proud to help citizens connect with the People’s Department. We know that most Americans interact with their Government through correspondence. That is why we strive to make sure that correspondence is answered clearly, accurately, and quickly.
