I grew up in Grand Island, NE and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received a BS degree in Agronomy with a Range and Forage Option in 1985. I moved to Texas and attended Texas A&M University and received a Master of Agriculture degree in Range Science in 1989.
I began with the SCS (Soil Conservation Service) in Stephenville, TX May of 1988 as a Range Conservationist. In 1991 moved to Perry, OK as the Area Resource Conservationist. In 1994, SCS became NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service) and I moved to Nebraska to serve as the State Range Management Specialist located in the North Platte, NE field service center. June 2002, moved to Lincoln, NE to the Northern Plains Regional Office as the Northern Plains Grazing Lands Coordinator.
My current position is National GLCI Coordinator located in Fort Worth, TX. GLCI (Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative) leadership and assisting with national grazing lands technical assistance will be my primary duties. Also, I assist the National GLCI Steering Committee with their activities.
