Cory Wolfe, Team Leader and Civil Engineer on the Resource Planning and Implementation Team for the Natural Resources Conservation Service in Bozeman Montana. He was raised on a small farm in Peru, Indiana and is a Purdue University graduate. He has 14 years of experience with NRCS working in Indiana, Kentucky and Montana. He began his career in Indiana and has served in several different NRCS positions including Area Engineer and Conservation Implementation Team Leader.
Rena Ruffin is the Agricultural Economist on the Resource Planning & Implementation Team. Besides working with the RPIT, Rena works with the state's payment schedules and provides economic assistance to Montana's field offices. She is from Fayette, Mississippi, but is glad to call Montana home. She received a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics, International Agribusiness from Alcorn State University.
There is a lot to learn as a newcomer to NRCS, but she enjoys the experience of discovering the richness in Montana’s agriculture and ways to implement conservation practices. Rena is trained in economics, but loves the opportunities to learn more about agronomy, range, and conservation planning.
