Montana NRCS Anti-Harassment Policy Statement
As State Conservationist, I fully support Chief White's Anti Harassment Policy, and am dedicated to providing a workplace free from harassment. In order for NRCS to effectively carry out our mission, we cannot be subject to hostile work environments.
NRCS is committed to maintaining high standards of honesty, integrity, impartiality and conduct. Sexual harassment and non-sexual harassment compromise these standards, weaken employee relations, debilitate morale and jeopardize productivity.
We must uphold a system of personnel management that ensures high standards of honesty, integrity, impartiality, and conduct.
Sexual harassment includes deliberate or repeated unsolicited verbal comments, gestures, or physical contact that is unwelcome or interferes with work productivity. Non-sexual harassment includes both written and verbal jokes, stereotyping, threats, and hostility towards an individual or group because of their race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital or familial status.
Harassment and reprisal against those who allege harassment will not be tolerated. Any employee who violates this policy is subject to immediate disciplinary action.
