It is NRCS policy to conduct a positive and continuing Asian American/Pacific Islander Emphasis Program that provides equal employment opportunity for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in all personnel management policies and practices and in NRCS sponsored programs and activities.

May is National Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Mission: Provide focus on employment, retention, promotion, career development, and advancement opportunities affecting Asian Americans and Pacific Islander applicants and employees at NRCS.

Program Objectives

  • Ensure that Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders receive equal treatment in all aspects of employment.
  • Provide opportunities to participate in training, career development, and leadership programs.
  • Provide a network of professional support for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
  • Provide mentoring support to Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the workforce.
  • Educate all NRCS employees by raising the awareness of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders workplace issues and concerns.
