USDA/1890 National Scholars Program:Each year the USDA provides 34 full, four-year scholarships to students attending any of the 17 historically Black 1890 Institutions. The Scholars Program is open to students completing their senior year of high school with an acceptable score on their college entrance exams (a minimum of 1000 on the SAT or 21 on the ACT).

Selected students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average or better and major in an agricultural, food, natural sciences or other allied discipline. Deadline for applications is January 15 of each year. This is a student employment program with non-competitive conversion eligibility.
