Subject:  LTP - FY13 Joint FSA/NRCS Program Eligibility Training

Purpose.   To announce the Joint Maine Farm Service Agency (FSA) / Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Program Eligibility /Wetland Conservation Compliance Review Process Training. 

Expiration Date.  September 30, 2013

The Joint Maine FSA/NRCS Program Eligibility and Wetland Conservation Compliance Review Process Training update sessions will be held as follows:

  • Bangor State Office – Main Conference Room – Bangor – April 25, 2013
  • Maine Forest Products Council – 535 Civic Center Drive – Augusta - Conference Room –April 30, 2013
  • Presque Isle Service Center – Conference Room – Presque Isle – May 2, 2013

These sessions will include joint training for FSA and NRCS Service Center employees on the shared responsibilities for determining NRCS Program Eligibility and an update on the Wetland Conservation Compliance Review process.  Each session is scheduled from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

NRCS Field Office Employees must attend one of the training sessions listed.  NRCS Affiliates and District employees are also invited to attend if the information is applicable to their workload.

Since training will be offered in three locations, overnight travel expenses for NRCS employees will not be permitted unless there is a scheduling conflict.  If there is a scheduling conflict, the employee must obtain their supervisor’s approval in order to participate in a more distant training site.
