                                                                                                         Date: January 2, 2013

Subject: TCH – Section IV of eFOTG

Purpose. Announcing revisions to Section IV – Conservation Practices of eFOTG.

Expiration Date. September 30, 2013

Conservation Practice Standard (Code 342) Critical Area Planting and associated documents have been updated in Section IV – Conservation Practices of eFOTG.

There are no significant changes to the documents. Minor changes to the practice standard include language regarding temporary erosion control measures and protection of dune-nesting birds.

The Big Flats Plant Material Center has recently published a book, entitled “A Guide to Conservation Plantings on Critical Areas for the North East”. A link to the electronic version of this document is included in the Critical Area Planting Standard (Code 342). It is an excellent reference document for developing a Critical Area Planting Plan.
