MAINE BULLETIN NO. ME 450-11-19

                                                                        August 26, 2011

Subject: TCH – Section III of eFOTG

Purpose. To announce cancelling and issuing a revised Forest Management Plan Criteria Practice/Activity Code (106) (No.) in Section III – Resource Management Systems and Criteria – E. Conservation Activity Plans Technical Criteria of eFOTG.

Expiration Date. September 30, 2012

Quality Reviews of Forest Management Plan – Conservation Activity Plans (FMP-CAPs) have determined that there is confusion about the requirements of a FMP-CAP. Technical Service Providers (TSP) that develop FMP-CAPs that were contracted by NRCS in FY11 do not need to develop a CPA-52 Environmental Evaluation. They are still required to complete parts of the ME-ECS-1 form and all of the Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Procedure (WHEP).

A copy of this revised Forest Management Plan Criteria Practice/Activity (Code 106) will be sent to all Maine TSP Foresters.

Contact. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Gerald Barnes, NRCS Forester at 207-990-9580 or email Gerald.barnes@me.usda.gov
