Subject: MGT – Direct Charge Budget Update

Purpose. To provide guidance on charging time to specific fund codes.

Expiration Date. September 30, 2010

Attached you will find an updated direct charge budget to primarily reflect increases in technical assistance funds in WHIP, and to make adjustments to some individuals’ budgets. Please review with your staffs.

The actual hours reflected in the spreadsheet are from Pay Period #6. You will need to pull employee summaries from WebTCAS and evaluate current status of hours and remember to add all leave hours to your calculations. Each individual’s leave is charged to a particular fund. These can be found in WebTCAS by going to “Other Reports and Utilities” and selecting the “Master Fund Allocation Employee Listing”.

Some guiding specifics:

We are currently overspending in CTA which is understandable due to all of the various program sign ups. To be sure we do not exceed our CTA budget, please do not charge beyond the CTA allocations listed. Do not forget to take into account all leave that will be charged to CTA as well.

There is an ECP program in Cumberland/York counties. A special ECP fund code will be set up to charge hours to this ECP flood event.

We are also authorized to charge time to the Emergency Watershed Program in York county. If you are involved in this effort and need to charge time to this program, please contact Dan Baumert or Pauline Paré to request hours. The correct program indicator to use in WebTCAS is US-EWP-15.

There will be a CRP Sign up in mid August. Aroostook County District Conservationists will probably experience the greatest activity from individuals with expiring contracts (80). We have distributed CRP hours primarily to those district conservationists. We have additional CRP dollars for this sign up. If you need additional CRP hours or an allocation of CRP hours, please contact Pauline Paré.

Allocations have been made for CSP. We expect additional funds for the second round of contracts. Please monitor these time charges as we do not have these additional funds yet.

Please do not charge beyond the hours allocated to AMA and GRP because funds are limited. If additional hours are needed, Pauline will need to trade hours with others.
