Conservation Connection e-blast...the latest news from NRCS Massachusetts and our partners

Plan now for your 2010 woodlands at upcoming DCR meetings

Massachusetts forest land owners are invited to attend one of two public information meetings to be hosted by the Massachusetts Forest Stewardship Program to learn more about managing woodlands and about cost-share opportunities for forest management planning currently available through the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). Each of the following meetings will have the same agenda, which will also include information on federal programs and state tax considerations:

  • Tuesday, January 19th, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Mohawk Trail Region School, 26 Ashfield Road (Route 112) in Buckland.
  • Thursday, January 21st, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Joshua Hyde Library, 306 Main Street (Route 131) in Sturbridge.

More information and directions are available at: http://www.ma.nrcs.usda.gov/news/connection/2010-01-05/forestry_workshops.html.
