SUBJECT: ENG – National Engineering Handbook (NEH), Part 651, Agricultural Waste Management Field Handbook (AWMFH)

Purpose:  To update the Illinois NRCS approved list for waste storage handling structures

Expiration Date:  Upon receipt.

Explanation of Changes:
The existing Illinois NRCS approved waste storage handling structures supplement to the AWMFH has been updated to include an additional approved manufacturer.

The approvals of the listed structures depend on proper implementation of the certification procedure for each site-specific design, as outlined in the attached supplement. NRCS will not provide technical assistance for the design of these structures, beyond functional review and approval as outlined in the National Engineering Manual (NEM). The program participant will be responsible for securing the services of an Illinois licensed engineer for design and construction certification.

This notice distributes Illinois supplement IL651.10-23(8) through IL651.10-23(9).

Filing Instructions for holders of Agricultural Waste Management Field Handbook binders:
  1. Print the attached new AWMFH supplement on green paper, and file in the AWMFH after page IL651.10-23(7).
