SUBJECT:  National Engineering Handbook Part 645, Engineering Technical Materials

Purpose:  To distribute revised and new IL-ENG standard drawings

Expiration Date:  Upon receipt.

Explanation: This notice distributes 10 revised and 9 new standard engineering drawings. Major highlights of this drawing release include:

  • New drawings for compost bin with pole barn style roof
  • New drawings for closure of waste impoundment
  • Revision of drawings for compost bin with wall mounted roof to clarify roof structure details

A summary of all updates is included on the attached distribution list.

The Illinois NRCS engineering website will be revised to reflect the updated drawings: http://www.il.nrcs.usda.gov/technical/engineer/enggdraw.html.
 

Filing Instructions:

All holders of Illinois Engineering Drawing binders should:

  1. Replace Numerical Index dated 3/1/2010 with the new Numerical Index (attached), dated 6/29/2010.
  2. Replace Category Index dated 3/1/2010 with the new Category Index (attached), dated 6/29/2010.
  3. Follow instructions on attached distribution listing of new drawings, filing in IL-ENG Drawing binder.

Any questions regarding this submittal should be directed to the Area Engineer.
