SUBJECT:  National Engineering Handbook Part 645, Engineering Technical Materials

Purpose:  To distribute revised and new IL-ENG standard drawings

Expiration Date:  Upon receipt.

Explanation: This notice distributes 2 revised and 1 new standard engineering drawings. This drawing release includes the following:

  • New IL-ENG-93 Infiltration Trench drawing to support the Seasonal High Tunnel interim practice pilot
  • Revision of IL-ENG-17 and IL-ENG-18 to 8” x 11” format.

The Illinois NRCS engineering website will be revised to reflect the updated drawings: http://www.il.nrcs.usda.gov/technical/engineer/enggdraw.html. Copies of the drawings are included as attachments to this distribution. They may be downloaded from the website as needed.

Filing Instructions:
All holders of Illinois Engineering Drawing binders should:

  1. Replace Numerical Index dated 1/1/2010 with the new Numerical Index (attached), dated 1/15/2010.
  2. Replace Category Index dated 1/1/2010 with the new Category Index (attached), dated 1/15/2010.
  3. File the new drawing numerically in IL-ENG Drawing binder, and use the newly revised drawings to replace existing versions.

Any questions regarding this submittal should be directed to the Area Engineer.
