2004 County Funding

2004 County Funding

The formula for determining county funding is based on the number of farms, acres of private cropland, acres of private forest land, acres of private range/pasture land, and number of both beef and dairy cattle.  The "weighting" percentages are based on recommendations from the State Technical Advisory Committee.  (see below)

About 9% of the state EQIP allocation was held back in order to provide funds for errors and omissions from previous-year EQIP contracts, Tribal interests and special projects as designated by the State Conservationist.  These special projects will address air quality, and threatened and endangered species.

Weighing Factors
Number of Farms 12.5%
