Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) - State Component
Idaho NRCS Offering $150,000 for Conservation Innovation Grants in FY 2015.
The FY 2015 Idaho Conservation Innovation Grants application period is as follows:
Funds will be awarded through a statewide competitive process. This includes submitting a full proposal application. Proposals must be received at the Idaho NRCS State Office by 4 p.m. Mountain Time on May 15, 2015.
Selected projects may lead to the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies.
Idaho's two general categories for 2015 are:
- Soil Erosion
- Demonstrate innovative conservation technologies or agronomic techniques that address water and/or wind erosion on Highly Erodible Land in Idaho
- Wildlife (Sage-Grouse)
- Demonstrate new techniques/approaches and/or technologies:
- to improve sage-grouse habitat in Idaho, or
- to evaluate the effectiveness of habitat development projects on sage-grouse populations in Idaho
