State Technical Advisory Committee

Chaired by the Natural Resources Conservation Service state conservationist, the State Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) is composed of representatives from federal and state natural resource agencies, tribal groups, agricultural and environmental organizations and agricultural producers. The committee provides information, analysis and recommendations on a wide variety of policy issues to NRCS and other agencies of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Although the committee has no implementation or enforcement authority, USDA gives strong consideration to the committee's recommendations.

The Florida State Technical Committee meetings are generally scheduled twice a year, or as needed.
