NRCS is committed to ensuring that its programs and services are accessible to all our customers, fairly and equitably, with an emphasis on reaching the Tribes in California.
NRCS has technical expertise in many areas including agronomy, range management, forestry, agricultural engineering, soil health, and wildlife habitat management, as well as conducting resource inventories and developing alternative practice/management scenarios.
NRCS field office personnel can provide assistance upon request to private landowners and operators, Indian Tribes and Tribal members. The assistance provided focuses on conservation planning on cropland, pastureland, forestland and rangeland to treat conservation resource concerns.
American Indians and Alaska Natives are eligible to participate in all NRCS programs and may have special status as provided by statute or regulation. The demand for NRCS services by American Indian Tribes continues to increase as the usefulness of NRCS assistance becomes better understood.
InsideOUTREACH is our newsletter focusing on who we are and what we are doing to engage everyone in the resource conservation mission.
