The following projects are awaiting funding before additional work can begin.
Bayou DeView Study Area
Bayou DeView Study Area would service 105,500 acres of irrigated cropland in Poinsett and Craighead counties. The sponsor is Bayou DeView Land Treatment Watershed Water Conservation Project.
Upper L’Anguille Irrigation Study Area
Upper L’Anguille Irrigation Study Area would service 123,498 acres of irrigated cropland in Poinsett and Craighead counties. The sponsor is L’Anguille River Land Treatment Watershed Water Conservation Project.
Little Red Irrigation Project
Little Red Irrigation Project encompasses approximately 83,838 acres south east of Searcy in White County. Within this area, lies about 25,478 acres of cropland. The bottomland areas adjacent to the Little Red River, the Henry Gray Hurricane Gray Lake Wildlife Management Area, Raft Creek WMA and the White River provide significant habitat for waterfowl migration. The sponsor is the Little Red River Regional Irrigation Water District.
North Prairie Irrigation Study
North Prairie Irrigation Study encompasses approximately 111,080 acres in north Prairie County. It is bounded by Bayou Des Arc on the north, the White River on the east, Wattensaw Bayou on the south and Hickory Plains Creek on the west. The area has approximately 79,585 acres of cropland and 3,187 acres of fish ponds. The sponsors are Prairie County Conservation District and North Prairie County Regional Irrigation Water District.
