New Life For Women receive assistance from Coosa Valley RC&D.

Funds for New Life for Women were acquired from the Coosa Valley Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council and with the assistance of State Representative Blaine Galliher.

The funds are to construct a retaining wall and additional landscaping at the newly constructed building.

NewLife is a long-term, intensive, faith-based, experiential treatment program for women who need help in overcoming addiction to drugs or alcohol.  Their mission is to provide counseling and guidance to women to identify and address the circumstances which lead to their addiction and to help them to restore their self respect and sense of self-worth.

Representative Galliher stated “It is a pleasure to see this type of work being done in our county and to see our state funds assisting this program.”
