East Region Plants Poisonous to Livestock

The 2008 Farm Bill has placed increased emphasis on providing habitat for pollinators. There are some species which provide beneficial habitat for pollinators but which are poisonous to a single species or multiple of poultry or livestock. If livestock or poultry that might be affected are present, consideration should be given to use of alternative species in plantings for pollinator habitat or exclusion of livestock and poultry from any access to the plantings. The following links to websites with information on plants which are found in the East Region and which are poisonous to livestock are provided for your reference.
