NRCS Cultural Resources Training Series for New Employees

Training is on-line at http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/main/national/nedc/training/cultural. It is the policy of NRCS that cultural resources training is provided to all employees who carry out some or all of NRCS' cultural resources compliance responsibilities at the Field and State Office levels. Completion of this training may also be a requirement for certification under the NRCS Conservation Planning Certification training program.

This training consists of eight modules. The first six are Web-based modules. Successful completion of the first six modules is required to move on to the two final modules, which have been developed by each NRCS State Office. Modules 7 and 8, tailored to Alabama's cultural resources and AL NRCS activities, are presented by the Cultural Resources Specialist in a classroom setting.
