A Central Hub Office was established in Wasilla to compliment the Northern Hub in Fairbanks and Southern Hub in Kenai. The Central Hub covers from Anchorage and Girdwood to Cordova .
The Anchorage office is closing. Technical staff has been dispersed to Hub offices. A map of the Hub areas was shared.
Emergency Watershed Protection Program: Brett Nelson, State Conservation Engineer
EWP is not a program for immediate emergency response.
It is a program to assist repairing impaired watersheds after natural disasters.
Program rules prohibit EWP from working on on-going river erosion.
EWP is designated for significant one-time disasters.
