Irrigation Watering System Increases Productivity on Alabama Farm
Watch this interesting USDA TV Feature Story about the Shipman Farm in
southeastern Alabama. To modernize the farm that's been in the family
since the early 20th Century, the Shipmans partnered with NRCS and with
Environmental Quality Incentives Program funds help, they’ve been able to
install an efficient and environmentally-friendly watering system to raise
produce and livestock. In turn, they are helping local youth and low
income people.

The Local Partnership Office in Plumas County commonly partners with a wide
variety of local, State, and Federal agencies and groups. So it came as no
surprise when the Feather River Community College (FRCC) contacted district
conservationist Dan Martynn about resource concerns with its Equestrian Center
meadow and pastures.
