Years of work by Ohio NRCS Assistant State Conservationist for Watersheds Steve Davis has paid-off with the agency featured on WTOL-TV in Toledo and EcoTrack — the two components of an Envirocst®Web/TV combined on-air and on-line service package that is designed to give TV meteorologists stories about particular environmental elements such as watersheds, forests, and coasts.

NRCS is one the principal partners in the Western Lake Erie Basin Partnership (WLEB) that provides the stories used on-air and on-line.  Along with other partners like the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the WLEB provides funding for the project as well.  Working with staff in Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur’s office, Steve helped get the NRCS funding for the project.

Steve and Ohio NRCS State Conservationist Terry Cosby were guests of honor at the project kick-off event that recently took place at the WTOL studios.
