Working Trees Brochures Available
The
USDA National Agroforestry Center’s (NAC) popular series of Working Trees
brochures provides readers with a great introduction to agroforestry. Trees improve
water quality, control soil erosion, increase agricultural production, improve
air quality, and provide wildlife habitat. These color publications illustrate
various agroforestry practices that landowners can apply to help meet their
conservation and production goals. NAC recently released a completely
revised Working Trees for
Wildlife publication. In early 2008, revised versions of the
Working Trees for
Agriculture and
Working Trees for Water Quality brochures will also be released. A new
Working Trees publication, Working Trees for Silvopasture, is
planned for the Spring of 2008. Thousands of these publications have been distributed by
conservation partners to increase landowner awareness of agroforestry. To
request free copies of any of the Working Trees brochures or other
agroforestry publications, visit the
NAC’s Website.
