Through a partnership with the Iowa Department of Transportation and Coca-Cola, the Iowa NRCS is helping to educate thirsty travelers about soil and water conservation efforts by Iowa farmers at a conservation-themed interstate rest stop.  The special rest stop along I-80 in western Iowa near Adair, features the accomplishments and messages of Iowa-native Henry A. Wallace — the eleventh Secretary of Agriculture (1933–40).  The rest stop vending area includes two conservation-themed beverage vending machines.  One machine highlights the environmental benefits of terraces, commonly seen along the east-west I-80 corridor.  The other promotes the overall conservation activities of Iowa farmers.  Both machines display the NRCS logo and website address so travelers can obtain more information.
