PLANTS Modernization Continues

The National Plant Data Center (NPDC) has been modernizing and updating modules on the PLANTS Web site. The redesigned Gallery and Characteristics modules have brand new search engines so you can customize results.  At the Gallery, for example, you can now view the maples of New York and Pennsylvania, or just the photographs taken in Louisiana.  At Characteristics you can view Conservation Plant Characteristics for the native trees of Arizona and New Mexico.  You can now get to the information you want right away!  Modernization will continue throughout the upcoming year — the Downloads, PLANTS Links, and Plant Materials Pubs are next.

You might want to view a PLANTS Profile to familiarize yourself with the types of information that are now available for a particular species.  Wildlife Habitat Values have been added for selected species and additional hard links appear at “More Accounts and Images” on the Profile.
