NRCS Chief Arlen Lancaster was in Oregon last week to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that will establish and define areas of cooperation between USDA, NRCS, Farm Service Agency, Commodity Credit Corporation, U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and U.S. Geological Survey.  Through the MOU, the agencies will conduct research and develop information and technology to increase the effectiveness of land management practices on the conservation of physical and biological components of ecological systems in the United States.
