Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) to Award Four Educational Watershed Models

CTIC logoTargeted outreach has been identified as a key component in successful watershed projects. The CTIC, a national nonprofit public-private partnership working to promote soil and water quality and equip agriculture with affordable, integrated management solutions, is working with local groups to enhance their targeted watershed outreach efforts. Through the “Know Your Watershed” program, CTIC, in cooperation with JT&A Inc., will be awarding EnviroScape® models to four local watershed groups to assist in their watershed awareness efforts. The Watershed/Nonpoint Source model can be used to demonstrate how different land uses affect water quality and as a springboard to teach about water pollution issues and the watershed approach to solving water quality problems.   Applications must be submitted by December 1, 2004 .
