NRCS State Conservationist in Alabama, Robert N. Jones, winner of the Soil Conservationist of the Year

NRCS State Conservationist in Alabama, Robert N. Jones has been selected by the Alabama Wildlife Federation as the Soil Conservationist of the Year – one of the most prestigious conservation awards in the State. Mr. Jones will be formally recognized at a function next month at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama. For over 30 years, the Governor's Conservation Achievement Awards program has recognized those who lead by example in conserving the wildlife, forests, soils, water, and air of Alabama. The program overall is designed to bring about a greater knowledge and awareness of conservation practices and projects and to give proper recognition to those persons and organizations that make outstanding contributions to the natural resource welfare of the community and the State.
