2008 NOPHNRCSE Elections - Nominations Due May 16, 2008

It is the interest of the Nominations Committee to inform the membership on the procedures, requirements and eligibility to be nominated, nominate and vote for National Council’s Officials. The information that follows will serve as a guide on the procedure that we will use for this year's election process.

In accordance with article X of the constitution, the nominations committee will be conducting the 2008 elections of Office of President, Executive Vice-President, Secretary and the Regional Representatives for the Northern Plains, Northeast, Midwest and the Caribbean Area.

Nominator Eligibility

  1. Nominees must be members in good standing.
  2. Person nominating or voting must be a member in good standing.
  3. The regional representatives will be nominated and voted on by membership of the region represented only.
  4. Member in good standing: NOPHNRCSE membership dues must be paid by March 31, 2008 and those members that participated in payroll allotment in 2007, as reported by the Membership Committee by March 31, 2008.
  5. The nominator’s name, address, email, telephone and region must appear on the ballot. If this information is missing the nomination will be considered invalid.
  6. Members can nominate and vote by completing the Nomination Form and sending via regular mail, fax or email.

Nomination Procedure

  1. All NOPHNRCSE members in good standing can nominate for President, Executive Vice-President and Secretary. This year we will be voting for the Regional Representatives of the Northern Plains, Northeast, Midwest and the Caribbean Area. Members from each specific region can nominate and vote only for the regional representative of their region.
  2. Nomination Form must be submitted to the Nominations Committee Chair by May 16, 2008.
