Notice of Prescribed Burn in Polk County, Oregon

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in partnership with EcoStudies Institute will perform a prescribed burn on a site enrolled in the Wetlands Reserve Program in Polk County, Oregon.

The exact date and time of the burn(s) will depend on weather conditions, but the burn(s) will take place sometime between: Sept. 1 - Nov. 30, 2023

Easement Site
Burn Area: 170 acres
Location: east of Baskett Slough National
Wildlife Refuge, 5 miles northeast of Dallas
Private residences are adjacent to the burn area.
