National Environmental Policy Act Training:  Environmental Compliance for Conservation Assistance
State-level follow-up to Environmental Compliance Level 1. The training focuses on completion of the environmental evaluation as an integrated part of the conservation planning process.

Conservation Planning on Pastureland
The course will cover calculating and planning for the animal needs and forage supply, monitoring the grazing system and using the pasture condition scoresheet.  It will also cover key forage plants needed for the grazing system to work.

Soil Quality Applications and Assessments for Field Staff
This training provides field level personnel with an overall understanding of soil quality. Participants will be able to recognize soil quality concerns, communicate those concerns and provide alternatives to the land manager and user.

Conservation Practice Writing Workshop
The workshop examines the policy and concepts involved in developing conservation practice standards.  A review of policy, in-class exercises and discussion of a national conservation practice standard are used to illustrate how to develop a state standard.
