Direct Assistance

Among other purposes, NTSC core staffs provide direct technical assistance to states/Pacific Basin and Caribbean Areas within their respective service areas. In providing this assistance, these staffs:

  • Provide consultative assistance to States, as requested, on technology issues.
  • Provide direct assistance to States in developing strategies to address natural resource issues.
  • Assist states in addressing complex natural resource issues and/or identify additional sources of support.
  • Assist states with and/or lead pilot projects, demonstration projects or field trials.
  • Provide leadership in technology transfer and training for natural resources technologies.
  • Provide technical support to NHQ Divisions and others, as they evaluate impacts of legislation, policy, and initiatives on natural resources conservation.
