Background

Dorlene began her career with the Soil Conservation Service as a Conservation District Clerk in 1980, while maintaining her owner/operator status of a commercial beef cattle operation in north Arkansas. From 1983 to 1987, she worked as a conservation technician while obtaining her BS in Agronomy, with a minor in Journalism from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.  Upon graduation in 1987, Dorlene served as a Soil Conservationist for the Little Rock Field Office before moving to Malvern as the District Conservationist. In 1995, Dorlene became the State Grazing Specialist and GLCI Coordinator for the state of Arkansas. Dorlene served as the Partnership Liaison for the South Central Region from 1997 to 2004 with co-lateral duties as Public Affairs Specialist from 2001 to 2004.  She began serving as Public Affairs Specialist for the Central National Technology Support Center in December, 2004.
